Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Firmware Developer to drive the design, development, and optimization of embedded firmware for IoT and energy products. This role requires expertise in sensors, processors, controllers, and communication protocols to enable seamless hardware-to-cloud connectivity. As a key team member, you will lead the firmware development lifecycle, ensure high-performance embedded solutions, and contribute to product innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, testing, and optimization of embedded firmware for IoT and energy devices.
  • Architect and develop scalable, production-ready firmware solutions.
  • Design, implement, and debug communication protocols such as MQTT, DLMS, MODBUS, RS232/485, IEC104/850, CAN, BLE5.0, and WiFi.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize circuits, controllers, and processors.
  • Work with edge computing, system-on-chips (SoC), and low-power embedded devices.
  • Contribute to algorithm design, protocol testing, and debugging for real-world deployment.
  • Guide the firmware team, mentor junior engineers, and ensure best development practices.
  • Provide expertise in AWS IoT integration and cloud connectivity (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Solve complex technical challenges related to real-time processing and embedded systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 7-8 years of experience in embedded firmware development.
  • Proficiency in C, Python, and Java for embedded systems.
  • Extensive experience in metering and energy products.
  • Strong expertise in ARM application processors and IoT communication protocols.
  • Deep knowledge of MQTT, DLMS, MODBUS, RS232/485, IEC104/850, CAN, BLE5.0, and WiFi.
  • Good understanding of electronics fundamentals and circuit design.
  • Familiarity with AWS IoT stack (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead teams in a fast-paced environment.
